Ralph E. Buckingham

Ralph E. Buckingham, 75, of 608 N. Jefferson, died Sunday at 4:50 a.m. at Ottumwa Hospital.

He was born June 17, 1896, the son of Henry E. and Amelia Bock Buckingham, in Davenport. He had lived in Ottumwa for the past 24 years. He had been in Ottumwa for the State Department of Social Welfare, retiring I0 years ago. He then worked part-time in the offices of the South Ottumwa Medical Center. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the World War I veterans. He attended the Ottumwa Baptist Temple. He was married to Edna Lewis, Feb. 22, 1948, in Centerville. She survives.

The casket will be taken from the Reece Funeral Home Tuesday morning to the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home in Centerville where the service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. A. D. Pringle of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple will officiate. Burial will be in the Haynes Cemetery in Centerville. The family will be at the Reece Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight and at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
