Monday, December 28, 1987Norene Mosbey rites Tuesday
Services for Norene Mosbey, 85, who died at Nelson Nursing Home, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial with graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. in Jones Cemetery north of Plano. Friends may call at their convenience. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Mosbey was born July 22, 1902 in Seymour, the daughter of Benjamin and Estella Christy Gilkison. She married John Banning July 6, 1918. He died Feb. 23, 1932. On Oct. 22, 1934, she married Glenn Mosbey, who died Dec. 16, 1959. A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in the Seymour and Promise City communities. She was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Bob Popejoy of Fairfield; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Lillian Blurton of Kirksville, Mo. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
