Rites Held for Sarah Haught

Mrs. Sarah Jane Haught, 87, resident of Numa for 30 years passed away in the Golden Age Manor Saturday, September 25, 1965 at 1:30 p.m. She had suffered ill health for several years and had made her home at the Manor for the past five years.

Born May 8, 1878 in Illinois, she was the daughter of Christopher and Mary Jane Stephenson Frost. She was married to James Haught who preceded her in death in 1950. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Besides her husband, her parents, two children, two brothers and six sisters precede her in death.

Survivors include a brother, Christopher (Kit) Frost of Mystic, four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held today at the Miller-Werle Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Rev Elton Coleman, pastor of the Methodist church in Moravia officiated.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Mystic.
