Gustava M. (Gussie) Marshall
Gussie Marshall, 81, a Centerville Resident, died Saturday, June 27, 1992, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville.
She was born in Jerome on may 14, 1910, the daughter of Frank and May Thomas.
She was united in marriage to Clyde B. Marshall in March 1934 in Unionville, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) Archer, Mrs. Norman (June) White, Mrs. Mildred Karth, Mrs. Bill (Virginia) Cornett and Lila Lee Thomas, all of Centerville; two brothers, Lloyd and Larry Thomas of Davenport and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Charlotte Curtis, Maurine Thomas and Leona Anders and two brothers, Edward and Floyd Thomas.
Gussie graduated from Centerville High School in 1927. She was employed by Golden Age Nursing Home until she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1992, at the Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane McCracken officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Lange Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
