Obituary for Alexander Timothy Mitchell, published in the Des Moines Register

Alexander Timothy Mitchell was born on September 5, 1969, in Des Moines. He was the son of J. John Mitchell and Janice C. Breen. He attended Des Moines elementary schools and graduated from Ames High School. He earned an engineering degree from DeVry University and travelled internationally on projects, having just returned from India. He worked for GFG Peabody of Wisconsin. He died unexpectedly in the morning of October 25 at home in Milwaukee, WI.
On October 10, 1997, he married Cherry San Jose, and they had one child, Alexander Christian Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, his son Alexander, his step-daughter Czarina Lo, her husband Vee Lo, and their three children, Chloe, Annabelle and Princeton. He is also survived by his mother Janice Lunde of Atlantic, IA, his father John Mitchell of West Des Moines, IA, his sister Kathryn Schaaf and her two children Brianne and Bryce of Lewis, IA, and two uncles, Dennis Mitchell and Timothy Breen, as well as numerous cousins.
Alexander was a fine cook and was devoted to his immediate and extended family. His funeral was held in St. Ita’s Church in Chicago on Saturday, November 9, at noon, followed by meal. The ashes have not been buried.
