Margaret Jean Hoekman
Jean Hoekman, 72, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Jean was born in Moulton, Iowa the daughter of Leslie and Myrtle Feight. She was a 1957 graduate of East High School and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She retired from Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside as kitchen manager.

Jean was a member of East Gate Chapter #538 of O.E.S. She loved to sew, make quilts for family, travel, play computer games, work puzzles, and spend time with her family.Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 14 years, Will; daughter, Susie Scott of Des Moines; son, Bret Gustin of Des Moines; daughters, Batina Poorbaugh and Becky Wiley, both of Houston, TX; step-son, Kevin (Linda Rose) Hoekman of Des Moines; step-daughter, Carolyn Hoekman of Tacoma, WA; brother, Dwayne (Joan) Feight of Des Moines; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at McLaren's Chapel.
