Ethel Wells

Ethel Margaret Wells, 82, died Thursday. July 11, 1985.

Born in Appanoose County Aug. 30,1903, she was the daughter of John and Abbie Dinneen Curtis. She was married to Howard E. Davis March 11, 1926. They had four daughters. Geraldine Fadiga, Gretchen Fadiga, Donna Davis and Eleanor Jones. He died Dec. 30, 1933.

She was married to Rex Wells June 3, 1945. He died June 4, 1980.

Survivors include the four daughters, four step-children, Leone Irwin, Lila Haines, Roger Wells and Clive Wells; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. 19 step - grand children , 19 step-great-grandchildren, and several step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a step-daughter. Dixie Millizer; two brothers, George and Lewis Curtis, and a sister, Effle Gavin.

Services were held Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m., at the Plano Christian Church, with Rodney Randall officiating. Burial was in Brushy Cemetery. A visitation was held at Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home. A memorial to the Plano Christian Church has been established.
