JOHN PACE KILLED UNDER TRACTOR CROSSING WALNUT BRIDGE
9 July 1915 The Semi-Weekly Iowegian
(long article above)
The deceased leaves a wife and son, about four years old. His father is E.R. Pace and he has two brothers and two sisters living, Arthur and Lloyd, Stella and Beulah. His wife was Ruth Wright, a daughter of Ed Wright. He owned 40 acres near the Wright schoolhouse west of town. He was a hard-working and thrifty young man who was endeavoring to accumulate property and provide for the comfort of his family. It is very sad that he had to be stricken down in the very flush of his strength and activity. His wife was greatly shocked to hear of the accident and asked that as soon as possible the body be brought home.
