Miss Mabel Frances McCarty daughter of Mr and Mrs John McCarty, passed away Friday February 20, 1920, 7:10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital the result of pneumonia and complications. Death came as a shock to her family and many friends who had known her all her life. Mabel Frances McCarty was born Nov. 2, 1900, being 19 years, 2 months and 18 days old at time of death.
Acting pallbearers were the six brothers. The honorary pallbearers were Misses Marie and Agnus Peacock, Mary and Bertha Cernich, Ellen White, Rose O'Hair. Those left to mourn her loss are her father and mother, six brothers, and three sisters, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her remains are laid to rest in Oakland cemetery.
Her influence and memory abide with those who knew her and loved her. May she rest in peace.
