Mr Philip Stark, an old resident of this county, died at his residence near here Saturday. Funeral services were held at Philadelphia
church Sunday evening, by Eld. D. O. Scott, after which, the remains were laid at rest in the cemetery adjoining. The deceased was a
member of the Christian Church, and well respected by all who knew him, which was attested by the large concourse of people who assembled to pay the last tribute of respect, to their old friend and neighbor.

Note: served in the Mexican war.
