Robert McCannon passes away at St.
Joseph Hospital After a Lingering Illness

Robert McCannon, prominent citizen of Plano and for many years a blacksmith there, passed away at St. Joseph's hospital at 10:00 o'clock Thursday night after an illness of several weeks. Although Mr. McCannon had been in the hospital only seven days, his illness had extended through the entire winter, although it never reached a critical stage until recently.
Since he was a young man he had made his home in Plano where he was known throughout the town and surrounding country. He opened up a blacksmith shop there when yet young and his entire life has been spent there. He leaves a wife and two sons Lawrence and Carl.
Mr. McCannon was born in Indiana, the son of Daniel and Martha McCannon. He was 50 years of age at the time of his death.
Funeral services will be held from the Christan church in Plano Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. The Christian minister from Unionville, Mo., will have charge of the service. Burial will be made at Livingston cemetery.
