Isaac Lane has been a very sick man for the past weeks and don't seem to be improving as he should. He is 76 years old and has a severe attack of Kidney and Bladder trouble which has been a source of trouble to him for several years. He has taken little nourishment for several days and his friends are apprehensive.
Mr. L. C. Walles who resides at Garfield in Johns township who is a brother of Mrs. Lane is staying with them for a few days. We are in hopes that a report for the better can soon be given but the conditions now which has been seen very doubtful.

Centerville Daily Citizen

At 12:30 o'clock today death came as a relief to Comrade Isaac S. Lane who had been seriously ill for the last ten days or two weeks at his home 411 North Twelfth street. As yet there has been no time to decide upon the time of the funeral but announcements will be made later.
Mr. Lane was one of the old and well-known citizens of Centerville serving in the navy during the Civil War, and at one time being in business here and working at the carpenter trade. In recent years, he and his wife who survives him, have been conducting the Lane hotel north of the northwest corner of the square.
We hope to have a more extended mention concerning Mr. Lane in a later issue.
