OBITUARY

Samuel K. Highbarger was born in Westmoreland county, Penn., September 10, 1848, died Nov. 10, 1911, at his home in Cincinnati, Ia., age 63 years and 2 months. He came with his parents to this state in 1856, was united in marriage to Sarah F. Osborn, March 21, 1881. To this union five children were born, two having died when small. The three surviving are Della Wissler of Des Moines, James G. of Centerville and Clifford, who is still small and resides at home.

Brother Highbarger united with the M. E. church in 1885 and has been a devoted worker ever since. Truly a good man has gone to his reward. his death is a loss to the front ranks of Israel, but our loss will be his gain.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church in Cincinnati, Nov. 11, conducted by Rev. James A. Worrell, after which the remains were quietly laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
