MYSTIC—Mrs. Clara Elgin of Mystic, passed away at the University hospital in Iowa City Monday, Sept. 7, at 4:20. If she had lived until Sept. 24, she would have been 64 years old.
Her husband Carl Elgin of Mystic, passed away several years ago.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nellie and Mrs. Doshia Milburn of Mystic, and a nephew Sheriff Glen Morlan of Centerville, who was raised in the home; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was night operator for the Mutual Telephone Company for 8 years and a member of the Christian church in Mystic.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. from the Mystic Methodist church with Rev. M. R. Gonzalez officiating and burial in Elgin cemetery. Body is lying in state at Swanson Funeral home in Mystic until service time.
