Mrs. Ada Blanche Ellis of 1409 Clark Street, Des Moines, died Monday, August 21, 1972,at 11:05 p.m., at the age of 88 years, ten months and 29 days.
Born in Appanoose County, Iowa, September 22, 1883, she was the daughter of Francis M. and Lydia Lincolndoffer McCoy. She was married to Lloyd Ellis, who preceded her in death May 18, 1958. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and a brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Helen) Wissler of Des Moines, and Mrs. Howard (Betty) Johnson of Keokuk, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Vera Priest of Rapid City, S. D.
Mrs. Ellis lived in the Exline and Moulton communities when Mr. Ellis was pastor of the Christian churches there, and he also served as senator from this district.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later from the Johnson Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Blanche Ellis, 88, of 1409 Clark St., who died Monday of a heart ailment at her home, will be at 3 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home at Centerville, with burial at Oakland Cemetery near Centerville.
Mrs. Ellis was the wife of the late state Senator Lloyd Ellis, who died in 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Don Wissler of Des Moines and Mrs. Howard Johnson of Keokuk.
