On Friday, all that was mortal of James A. Davis was laid to rest in Franklin {Hibbsville} cemetery in the presence of children and long time neighbors and friends. Mr. Davis after a protracted illness passed away after a pilgrimage of eighty, leaving the wife of his youth, sons and daughters to mourn his departure and imitate his purity of life.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Olive church, conducted by Reverend McKinley, with many in attendance.
