CENTERVILLE —Mrs. Hazel Lydia Ponsetto of R-3, Centerville, in the Jerome vicinity passed away Wednesday. June 10, 1970, at 2:10 p.m. in the St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 13 days.
She was born in Princeton, Mo., Feb. 27, 1891, the daughter of Francis and Delilah
McKern Duncan. She was married to Joe Francis Ponsetto in Mystic, Dec. 19, 1905. He preceded her in death June 24, 1967 as did her parents, a grandson, Vance Ponsetto, two sisters, Viola and Irene and a brother, William Duncan. Her survivors include four children, Mrs. Evelyn Van Pelt of Des Moines, Mrs. Edith Welsh of Ottumwa, LeRoy Ponsetto of Centerville, and Leonard Ponsetto of Chicago; eight grandchildren, and 15 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Brown and Mrs. Edith Fry of Jerome.
She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Numa. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Albert Fey officiating and burial in the Jerome Cemetery.
Rosary services will be held Friday at 8:15 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home.
