Archie Kimball
MOULTON - Archie D. Kimball, son of Alonzo B. and Isabell Kimball, died Friday, January 21, 1977 at the Westview Manor Nursing Home in Britt,
Iowa. He was born September 25, 1881 in Windon, Kansas and was 95 years of age at the time of his death.
At an early age he moved with his parents to Moulton, where he was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and became a member of the
Moulton Christian Church. He received his education in the Moulton schools and was married to Mary Jane Beard January 15,1905 in Moulton. His wife died December 24, 1916 and he was married to Stella Coons in 1927.
Mr. Kimball was employed by the railroad for 27 years, and had also farmed until he retired, making his home for the past 12 years with his
daughter in Britt. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, had served for many years on the Moulton School Board and the Moulton city council, being always active in civic affairs.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wendell (Dortha) Casady of Britt and Mrs. John L. (Dorrel) Peters of Woodward, Iowa, one son, Donald Kimball, of Moulton; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Kathryn McKay of Columbia, Mo.; two stepgranchildren; four step-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Stella February 21, 1962, one brother T. Lewis; and two sisters Emma Leeps and Angie Adams.
Services were held Monday January 24, in the Moulton Christian Church with Rev Francis Bussey officiating. Burial was in Hardin Cemetery.
