Prudence & John William Young

I'm looking for any information on Prudence or John William Young in Allamakee. I have nothing other than the census and a cemetery record for Prudence.

They arrived in Allamakee after 1860 and before 1870. The 1870 census shows them and their son William Darastus in Union, Allamakee. John's property is valued at $1000. He's listed as a farmer, but he was also a blacksmith. Prudence died around 4 Jan 1872 and is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery. By 1873 John is in California with his other children.

Their son William Darastus Young was there by 1860 (census), lived and died there in 1918. He married 1st Elizabeth Merrill 2nd Mrs Weir. He had a total of 13 children. He is also buried in the Mt Hope Cemetery.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Prudence & John are my husband's great-great grandparents. We were able to visit Prudence & William D.Young's graves in Sep 2020 while visiting our daughter in Ionia, Iowa.
