If I am correct, John and Elizabeth Schwartz came to America @1846 with two children, Barbara Mary and John Jr.. They first lived in Ohio where Eva Margaret and George were born. Abt. 1851 they moved to Indiana where Mary and Andrew were born. Elizabeth, Sarah, Frederick and Henry were born in Allamakee Co. after 1856. The Schwartz farm is still shown on the 1875 Waterloo Township Land map on this site, just SE of Dorchester. The Wenig's were neighbors. Mother Elizabeth died between 1870 and 1880. John Sr. and the younger children [Andrew and younger] have moved to Hancock County before 1880 where Sarah is a housekeeper for a family in Concord Twp. John Sr, Andrew and young widow Elizabeth Schwartz Schwichtenberg are farming in German township. Frederick and Henry live the rest of their lives in the Klemme area.
Barbara Mary Schwartz married George Wenig abt 1859 and they lived their lives near Dorchester. Their oldest daughter Sarah Wenig, born abt 1860, married a butcher named Henry Hose [sometime written as Hase]. They lived in 1900 as next door neighbors of Joseph and Sarah Schwartz Ondrick on South 7th St, in Austin, MN. before moving to Hawkeye, IA. The second Schwartz daughter, Eva Margaret, married Frederick Riser, a widower with 5 children in 1864. Fred and Margaret had 13 more children together in Lansing Township. Fred's son Henry by his first wife Barbara Marti married Selma abt 1891. Selma's California death record only lists her mother's maiden name of Koehler, but I don't think she is a member of the John Schwartz clan. Fred and Margaret's son Benjamin was married to Lydia Matilda Feuerhelm January 20, 1909 in Allamakee County.
I don't know of any Richi connection but there are families by the names of Rice and Rich living in close proximity to the Schwartz, Riser and Wenig families in north Allamakee.
Hope this helps you clarify some of your people.
