In this article it states Mr. Gericke was a brother of Mrs. Christ Meyer. I believe Christ Meyer was related to my great grandfather, (Johan) Carl Meyer/Meier in some way as my mother had Christ Meyer written down in her Meyer/Meier research. My mother had passed away before I found this information so am unable to ask her. My Meyer family were called the "Center Meyer's" as they were from Clayton Center and had moved to Postville around 1890 when they changed the spelling of their name to Meier. The obituary states Mr. Gericke was born in 1871. (Johan)Carl Meyer/Meier's oldest child was born around the same time. Christ must have been a nephew of my great grandfather. Does anyone see a connection to their family with this information? Please reply.
