The schools during that time-period were mostly country schools that had all grades.

Chapter XV - County Schools (link below) gives a breakdown of the township & independant schools. In 1912, the Fairview twp. school, had only 75 students. This would be Fairview #5, in section 18.

This township was (and still is) sparsely populated, and has no larger villages or towns; so no graded schools (ie: elementary & high schools). Paint Rock school may have been in Fairview or Taylor twp. I don't know for sure if any of the others listed were in Fairview twp. but don't believe they were.
