Lloyd “Butch” Teff

Lloyd “Butch” Teff, 55, of Dorchester, Iowa, died Friday, December 9, 2005, at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare in Spring Grove, Minn. There will be no formal services held.

Lloyd David “Butch” Teff was born February 24, 1950, in Spring Grove, the son of Carlton and Bernadette (Klug) Teff. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dorchester and graduated from Waukon High School in 1968.

September 12, 1980, he married Sharon Roffman in Decorah. Butch had a variety of jobs during his working career. Following high school, he worked in the tire department at Montgomery Ward in La Crosse, Wis. Later he spent several years as a cross country semi truck driver. Following that he did cement work and driving for Quality Ready Mix of Mabel, Minn., and then worked for Berg Plastering and Drywall of Freeport, Iowa. The past 20 years he has been a logger, both on his own and in partnership with various other area loggers.

Butch enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt. He was also a good woodworker and made several cabinets and pieces of furniture.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of Dorchester; four children, Jessica Teff, Lori Engan, and Dana Hefte, all of Eitzen, Minn., and Joe Teff of Waukon; three grandchildren, Kevin, Allie, and Brittany; his mother, Bernadette Teff of Dorchester; and 12 brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton, and a grandson, Ernie Engan Jr.
