Ruth Carter

Ruth Louise (Sherman) Carter, 89, of Lansing, Iowa, formerly of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, December 8, 2005, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, after a short illness. Services were held Monday, December 19 at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Surviving Ruth are three sons, Jim (Betty) of Harpers Ferry, and Gary (Nancy) and Rex Carter of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Ruth in death were husband Leonard, four sisters, and one brother.
