MRS. GRIFFIN DIES AT SEVENTY-NINE
Was A Resident Of This County Her Entire LifeMrs. Lawrence Griffin died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Tierney of Hanover Monday. She had been ill about a week.
Mrs. Griffin was born October 23, 1853, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hines of Dorchester. She married Lawrence Griffin and they made their home on a farm in Hanover township. About four years ago Mrs. Griffin moved to Waukon, where she since made her home.
She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. James Connors of Warrens, Wisconsin;
Mrs. Phil McGraw and Mrs. Leo Magner of West Ridge; Mrs. James Collins, Mrs. Hugh Regan and Mrs. Thomas Tierney of Hanover township, and one son, John Griffin of this city. She also is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Flynn of Dorchester.Funeral services were held this morning at the Hanover church, with burial in the cemetery nearby.
