FUNERAL TO BE HELD THURSDAY MORNING

John H. Ward, lifelong resident of this county passed away Tuesday, May 22, 1945 at his home in Union Prairie township, where he was engaged in farming following an illness of several weeks.

The deceased was born on June 6, 1869 in Union Prairie township, the son of Cornelius and Catherine Gallagher Ward. On April 4, 1902 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Griffin who survives him.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Emmett of Hanover township and Lawrence at home; three daughters, Mrs. Gretta Hurtubise of Chicago and Misses Jeanette and Anna Mae also of Chicago. Three children, Hazel, Leo and John preceded him in death.

The following brothers and sisters also survive; William, Thomas, Peter, Joseph, James, Mary, Rose, Theresa, Florence and Elizabeth. A sister Ellen precedes him in death.

The Mass of Requiem will be sun Thursday morning, May 24 at 9:30 o'clock from the St Patrick's church with the Rev. E. J. McDonald officiating. Rev. P. Reynolds and Rev. O. Norton will officiate in the Prayers of Committal at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Raymond Regan, Lawrence McGraw, John Collins Charles Tierney, Joseph Magner, and Harry Drew.
