GRANDVILLE CLARENCE CLARK 1868-1894

Mr. Clark, who lives between here and Waukon, returned from Minneapolis on Saturday with the body of his son. He first learned on Thursday of the death of his son, who is a brother to Mrs. Thos. Waters and had a good situation as a street car conductor. The father wonders at the delay in the letters reaching him, for it was written Sunday, and also that he could find nothing of his effects, or clothing, the body having been given to a medical school for class use. He will investigate the matter further.

--- The remains of Clarence Clark, son of Mr. John Clark of Waukon and brother to Mrs. Thomas Waters of Frankville, an only sister, came down by train to Postville and were brought here [Frankville] Saturday for interment. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church. He was buried beside his mother in the cemetery near Myron.

Note: Clarence's mother was Judith (Smith) Clark, daughter of Reuben Smith. He died November 17, 1894 at the age of 26 years.
