Funeral services were held October 18, at Oconomowac, Wisconsin for Dewey C. Ohloff, 60, former resident of this community, who died Monday, October 15, from injuries received in a three-car accident on Friday night, October 12. The Rev. H. W. Schroeter, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated; burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery, Oconomowac.
Dewey C. Ohloff, son of Charles and Mary Ohloff, was born April 4, 1902 at Postville. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church and attended elementary and high school in Postville.
He was a caretaker for the last 22 years for the Henry Gotfredson estate at Oconomowac Lake, Wisconsin. He was married July 19, 1954 to Aleda Keller Goden at Oconomowac.
He is survived by his wife, Aleda; two stepchildren, Richard C. Gordon of Madison and Patricia, Mrs. Gorden Babcock of Elkhorn; one brother, Charles H. of Postville; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Meyer of Clermont, Mrs. Clara Oeltjenbruns of Charles City, Mrs. Rodena Klinkenberg of Dubuque, and Mrs. Geneva Nichols of Waterloo.
