Harpers Ferry- Luverne "Ole" Valley, 87, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, in Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Ann's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Harpers Ferry. Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Paint Rock, rural Harpers Ferry. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church hall. Arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon.

Survivors include a sister, Rita Charland of Dubuque.

Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Paula Valley of Harpers Ferry.
