Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services were held here Friday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church for Mrs. Adolph Haehlen, 69, with the Rev. P.F. Kjorlaug, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Mrs. Haehlen died Wednesday at the home of her son, Edward in Linton Township, following a lingering illness.

She was born April 16, 1869 in Switzerland and when a young woman came to this country, settling near Milwaukee. She was married to Mr. Hashlen April 18, 1891 and prior to their coming to Allamakee County, they made their home in various parts of Wisconsin and at Dubuque.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edward on the home farm and Attorney Herman Haehlen of Waukon; and one daughter, Mrs. Paul Gerlich of Galena, Ill.
