Waukon, Ia. - The funeral of Thomas Norton, 49, will be held Saturday morning at St. Mary's Church in Makee Township with the Rev. Thomas O'Toole celebrating the requiem mass, according to arrangements completed Friday. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Norton died suddenly Wednesday night at his home on Highway 9 near Landmark Inn.

He was born in Ireland on March 18, 1889 and 30 years ago he came to America with his wife and daughter, settling in this vicinity. He operated the farm owned by the Hugh Norton family since the death of the latter.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mary Jane at home, and Catherine, a rural school teacher; and four sons, Joseph, Michael, Patrick and Frank, all at home.
