D. Bauercamper Funeral Thursday
The funeral of David Gottlieb Bauercamper, a life long resident of Waukon, will be held Thursday from Zalmona Presbyterian church with the Rev. Mr. Henry Johnson officiating and burial in the church cemetery. The funeral hour had not been set at noon today. Martin funeral home is in charge.
Mr. Bauercamper was born July 17, 1869 in Ludlow township, son of Karl and Minnie Dravis Bauercamper. He had farmed in Ludlow township many years, and lived in Waukon the past 15 years. He and Sarah Hager were married in Ludlow township Aug. 2, 1899. She remains. There are three children, Martin Bauercamper of Davenport, Reuben Bauercamper of Baxter, and Ruth, now Mrs. Earl Crawford of Miami, Fla. There are seven grandchildren and two-great grandchildren.
Mr. Bauercamper had been a very active person until last January when he became ill. He was an expert gardener, with a great interest in landscaping. He was a patient in the local hospital for 17 days before his death.
