J. Bauercamper Died in Waukon On December 26 (1957)
Julius Bauercamper, long time resident of Allamakee county, died at the Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital Dec. 26 after being a patient there only one day. He had been ill for about two months.
Mr. Bauercamper was a lifelong resident of Ludlow township, son of Karl and Minnie Dravis Bauercamper, born in Ludlow township Sept. 22, 1863. He had lived in Waukon a dozen years.
Bauercamper was married on Sept. 17, 1896 to Mary Krumme, who preceded him. The children are Luella, now Mrs. Paul Kruger, Arthur, Laura Steele, Ralph of Cresco, Florence, now Mrs. T. Knudtson, and Leslie Bauercamper. There are nine grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. David Bauercamper of Waukon, a brother, also remains.
Educated in the local schools, Mr. Bauercamper farmed until he retired. He was a member of Zalmona Presbyterian church, and his funeral was held at 1:30 from Martin's funeral home and at 2 o'clock Saturday from this church. The Rev. Mr. Henry Johnson officiated and burial was in Zalmona cemetery.
The pallbearers were Alvin Brandt, Albert Stuckman, Henry Kruger, George Winke, Ed Helming and Charles Hinrichs.
