Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 1, 2:00 p.m. for Mildred Adam, 59, at Bethelehm Presbyterian Church, rural Postville. Rev. Roger Hawthorne officiated.

Mildred Julia Caroline Adam was born March 28, 1919, on the family farm in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County, the daughter of Albert and Nora (Blum) Fiet. She attended rural schools.

She married Willard Adam January 5, 1938 and to this union four children were born.

She was a member of Bethelehem Presbyterian Church and served as president of its United Presbyterian Women's Association.

She died Nov. 28, 1978 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Survivors include her husband, Willard; two sons, Donice, Waukon, David, Postville; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Charlene) Hinrichs, Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Lyle (Barbara) Guese, Postville; her mother, Mrs. Albert (Nora) Fiet, Postville; one brother, Robert Fiet, Postville; and eight grandchildren.

Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, was in charge of the arrangements.

Interment was in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery.
