Elmer W. Adam

Funeral services for Elmer W. Adam, 70, were held Saturday, Aug. 25, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville.   The Rev. James Elvig officiated.   Martin Brothers Funeral Home of Waukon had charge of arrangements.   Burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Elmer W. Adam, son of William and Mary (Stock) Adam was born February 27, 1914 in Allamakee County.   He died Thursday, Aug. 23, 1984 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

He was educated in the local schools and farmed in Allamakee County.   He was married June 18, 1936 to Dora Bowden.  They were the parents of two daughters, Darlene and Marilyn and two sons, Marvin and Elmer, Jr.

Elmer was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter, sisters, Helen, Martha and Edna and one son, Elmer, Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Dora, one son, Marvin of Postville and two daughters, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Miller, Volga and Mrs. Cecil (Darlene) Rosberg, Arlington.
