Heins, Dora A.C. (Schultz) 1851-1940
Postville, Ia. - Funeral services will be held here Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Dora Heins, 88, who died late Wednesday afternoon following a brief illness. The Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the Postville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fred Martin, Clarence Schnuelle, Roy Moon, Harlan Heins, and Leo and Edward L. Burdick.

Mrs. Heins, who was Postville's second oldest resident, would have celebrated her eighty-ninth birthday Memorial Day.

Mrs. Heins, the former Dora Anna Catherine Schultz, was born in the Province of Mecklenberg-Schwerin, Germany, on May 30, 1851. She came to Postville in 1869 with her mother and four brothers. On July 12, 1872 she was married to Fred Heins and they lived on a farm near Postville. Upon the death of her husband in 1900, Mrs. Heins took up her residence in Postville.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Simon Schnuelle; a son, Fred, and an adoped daughter, all of Postville; 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Five children preceded her in death.
