Mary Elizabeth Ohm entered into eternal peace on August 07 2013 at Appelton, Wisconsin. Mary was born Jul 11 1923 in Waterloo, Iowa to the late Thomas Cavanagh and Alberta M. (Melvan) Cavanaugh.

Mary served her country during WWII in the U. S. Navy. In 1974 she moved from Monona, Wisconsin to Appelton with her husband Bob. Mary was married twice. Mary's last husband was Robert Ohm. Robert Ohm is buried beside his first wife in Wisconsin.

Mary Elizabeth Ohm was buried Paint Rock Cemetery, Allamakee County. Martin Funeral Home handled local arrangement.

Mary E. Ohm, 90, of Appleton, WI, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Appleton. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's - St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry with Fr. John Moser officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Paint Rock Cemetery, Harpers Ferry. A visitation was previously held at Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting with arrangements.

Mary Elizabeth Ohm was born July 11, 1923 in Waterloo to Thomas and Marcella (Melavan) Cavanaugh. Mary served her country proudly during WWII in the U.S. Navy. In 1974, she moved from Monona to Appleton, WI, with her husband, Bob. Bob was an Appleton area school teacher for many years and a fellow WWII veteran. Mary was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver for her family. Mary loved her flowers and had a fabulous display in front of her home every year. She was also very fond of her pets.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed and loved forever by five generations.

Mary is survived by six children: Bob Forler of McFarland, WI, Arlene (Mike) Larson of Jacksonville, FL, Wayne (Char) Forler of DeForest, WI, Marilyn (Richard) Schoen of Hartland, WI, Allen Forler of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Raymond (Jane) Forler of Appleton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert D. Ohm; and one daughter, Elaine Gibson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Advantage and all of her caregivers.
