Postville Herald, Thursday, 18 May 1922.
Louise Anna Nagle was born June ?, 1869, in Grand Meadow township, and passed away May 12, 1922.
In her early childhood she moved with her parents to a farm in Franklin twp. which was her home until her marriage to David C. Bloxham Nov. 16, 1893. For several years previous to her marriage she taught school in District No. Four, near her home.
Because of failing health they moved to Postville in 1911, where was spent the rest of her life.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three daughters, and grandpa Bloxham. Also two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Dowling and Miss Carrie Nagle of Waukon; and three brothers, Julius Nagel of West Union, Louis Nagel of Waukon and ?mos Nagle of Luana; and numerous relatives and friends.
Mrs. Nagel was a devoted wife, loving mother, a true friend and neighbor, whose passing will be regretted by all who knew her, and to those bereft the sincere sympathy of all is extended in abundant measure.
The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful.
The funeral was held from the home at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. A. Saathoff officiating, and the large assemblage of sorrowing friends in attendance was a fitting tribute to the high place she held in the hearts of all who knew her. Interment in Postville Cemetery.
