Postville Herald, Thursday, 9 March 1922.

Merle Harry Irey, infant daughter (sic) of Mr. and Mrs. Arvey (sic) Rose, was born on the 22nd of October, 1921 received the rites of holy baptism on December 15, 1921, and died on Wednesday, March 1, 1922. The funeral was held from St. Paul's Lutheran church on last Saturday afternoon Rev. E. Schmidt officiating. Interment in Postville cemetery.

(This was followed by a foreign language poem. There was also a card of thanks attributed to Mr. and Mrs. Arbey Rose.)
