Webster: Vernie, youngest child and only daughter of Sherman and Maggie Webster was born in Allamakee Co., Iowa, Aug. 21, 1897 and died Aug. 26, 1899. Aged 2 years and 5 days.

Little Vernie was a bright, beautiful child, almost the idol of the parent's hearts and while they feel deeply bereft they are comforted in the thought that Jesus said " Of such is the kingdom of heaven". Funeral services were conducted at the Evergreen school house Monday morning by Rev. Barton, of Postville, and the precious little form was laid to rest in the beautiful country cemetery.

That the bereaved have the sympathy of a large circle of friends is evident from the number attending the services and the many beautiful floral offerings.
