Patrick Galliger (sic), one of the oldest men in the state, and the oldest man in Allamakee county, died Wednesday morning at his home in Waukon at the age of 109 years. Mr. Galliger came to America from Ireland and for the past fiftyfive years has resided in Allamakee county.- Lansing Mirror.

He lives on a farm near Waukon, Iowa. Being Irish, he can see the funny side of anything. He says he has taken life as a joke, and therefore has "kept young." Mr. Gallaher (sic) still can do a considerable amount of work. He was born in Ireland and has been in America 84 years.
