Funeral services for Helen M. Storla, 76, were held at the East Paint Creek Synod Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Rev. Milton Tweit officiated at the service and interment was in the church cemetery. Martins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Storla, who was a long time resident of the Allamakee County Care Facility, died March 18 at the Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 3, 1907 in Paint Creek Township, the daughter of Ole O. and Julia (Paulson) Storla. She attended the rural school near her home and the Waterville Consolidated School. She was employed in Milwaukee and Manchester and later became a resident of the County Care Facility.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Olvin and Hartwig.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Clarence, Postville, and Ove, Dubuque; 4 sisters, Mrs. Thora Johnson and Mrs. Olga Wendel, Postville, Mrs. Sophie Gulrud, Milwaukee, WI, and Mrs Pauline Johnson, Rochester, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
