Frank Silas Hangartner, aged 82 years, eight months and 19 days, entered into eternal rest on Monday of this week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Powers, his demise following a paralytic stroke sustained the day before.

Mr. Hangartner was a fine old gentleman, a resident of this city and locality for many years, until the death of his wife two years ago, since which time he has made his home the greater part of the time with his daughter at Ossian. He was an honest, upright man and citizen and many friends will learn of his passing with sorrow.

The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Ossian Wednesday morning, after which the remains were brought to Postville for interment by the side of his wife.
