Mrs. L. D. B. Hawkins died last Saturday afternoon and was buried on Monday in the Postville cemetery. The funeral was held from the Methodist church and was largely attended. Rest to the departed, consolation to the living.

Note: According to the obit of her husband, her name was Cynthia Hardin, who passed away July 10, 1883.
