Postville Review, Fri., 2 Feb. 1900.

Nancy R. Noble was born in Jackson Co., Iowa, Oct. 5, 1846. When 3 years of age she moved to Allamakee Co. near Postville, Iowa, with her parents, where she has resided nearly all her life.

In 1875 she was united in marriage with Myron Rose and to them three children were born, John, Gladys and Charles. Her husband preceded her about six years.

The last six months of her life were spent with her sister at Austin, Minn., under Christian Science treatment, while not receiving the physical aid she sought, she received a spiritual blessing which is infinitely greater. During the last weeks of her life she desired nothing but sacred reading, conversation and songs, one of her favorites being;

"Alas and did my Savior bleed,
And did my sovereign die
Could he devote his sacred head
For such a worm as I."

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock, and the remains laid to rest in the Postville cemetery.

Note: See obit of Myron Rose 1812 - 1894. Nancy was the second wife of Myron, who had other children by his first wife.
