Mrs. William (Martha) Bulman

Funeral services for Mrs. W. G. Bulman were held in Schutte's Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dick Harberts officiating. Mrs. Bulman died Saturday, October 23, 1971 at her home in Ames.

Martha Luehr, daughter of Fred and Amelia (Bublitz) Luehr, was born November 10, 1887 at Dorchester, Iowa. She spent her childhood in that community and received her early education in a rural school, continuing her education attending school in Charles City.

September 20, 1911 she was united in marriage to William G. Bulman. Three children were born to this union.

Mrs. Bulman was a member of the Community Presbyterian church, Postville, Eastern Star, Birthday Club and Shakespeare Club. She was active in the women's work of the church and provided many floral arrangements from her garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, on January 28, 1962; also several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her 3 sons, Howard of Newton, Neil of Forest City and DuWayne of Ames; a sister Mrs. Fred Wenig, Gray, Iowa; a brother Dr. Fred O. Luehr of Cresco; 3 grandchildren, Vickie Rae, West Liberty; Joe W. Bulman, Ames and Ned E. Bulman, Forest City and other relatives.

Interment was in the Postville cemetery.
