Final Rites Are Held On Monday For O. L. Brown.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock for O. L. Brown, 46, at St. Paul's Lutheran church with Rev. F. B. Ludwig officiating. Burial was in Blair, Wisconsin, where services were conducted by Rev. Ludwig and Rev. Lawrence Halvorson, pastor of Zion Lutheran church of Blair.

Mr. Brown, who had been established in the nursery business in Postville since 1944, passed away Thursday, June 2, following a lengthy illness.

Born In Wisconsin.

Octave Sedolph Lloyed Brown, son of Andrew Brown and Inga Olson Brown, was born February 14, 1903, at Springfield, Jackson county, Wisconsin, and departed this life June 2, 1949, at Independence, aged 46 years.

Mr. Brown was united in marriage with Emma Bjergum of Black Hammer, Minnesota, at Riceford, Minnesota, on November 21, 1927. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive the passing of their father.

Mr. Brown spent the earlier years of his life at Taylor, Wisconsin. At the age of 18 he removed to Mabel, Minnesota. After his marriage the family home was established at Caledonia, Minnesota, where he engaged in farming for seven years. The family home was then removed to Mabel, where he farmed for three years. In November 1940 the family moved to Canton, Minnesota, where Mr. Brown became identified with nursery interests. On March 1, 1944, the family established their home in Postville where Mr. Brown set himself to the task of building up a nursery of his own, meanwhile continuing as representative of an already established nursery.

Mr. Brown is survived by his widow; five children: Virginia, Lorraine (Mrs. Cloy Schultz, Jr.), Beverly, Janice and Sharon Kay, all of Postville; six brothers and sisters: Levi Brown, Blair, Wisconsin; Sadie (Mrs. Ludvig Hjerleid), Blair, Wisconsin; Rose (Mrs. John Ellison), Blair, Wisconsin; Arthur Brown, Spring Grove, Minnesota; Tennis Brown, Green, North Dakota, and Inez (Mrs. Joseph Johnson), Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Louise (Mrs. Octave Hjerleid), and one brother Bennie Brown.
