Members of the VanGorder families received news last week of the death of Frank VanGorder at his home at Superior, Wis. His demise was due to a heart attack. Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. D. VanGorder and was born on a farm northeast of Hardin 71 years ago. He left Allamakee when a young man and for years resided at Iron Mountain, Mich. Superior had been his home for about twenty years. Surviving are his widow, five brothers and a half sister, namely; Henry of Post township; Sankey and Charles of Jefferson township; Hardie of Waukon; and Hayes; and Mrs. Mary Coon of McGregor. Burial took place at Superior on Wednesday last.--Waukon Democrat.
