Scott Willis Eaton, youngest son of Wells and Mary Eaton, was born in Post township, Allamakee County, Iowa, March 01, 1868, and died at Glenwoood, Iowa, April 09, 1920, aged 52 years, 1 month, and 8 days.

His early years were spent on the farm near Postville. He removed to Postville with his mother in 1888, where he lived until her death in 1904, after which he lived for a number of years with the family of his brother, G. E. Eaton of this city, and later went to Glenwood, where he died.

He is survived by three brothers - G. E. Eaton of Postville; W. W. Eaton of Boone; and F. L. Eaton of Spencer; also four sisters - Mrs. Maria Howe of Suprise, Neb.; Mrs. H. S. Harris of Topeka, Kansas; Mrs. J. S. Dresser and Mrs. George Waters of Postville.

Funeral services were held from the home of his brother, G. E. Eaton, Tuesday morning, April 13th, at 10 o'clock, Rev. Hadwen Williams officiating. Interment in Minert cemetery.

In this connection the family are desirous of extending their sincere thanks to the many friends for the kindly services rendered during the burial of their brother.
