Funeral services for Howard Stanley Beardmore, age 78, of Waukon, Iowa were held Monday, July 23 at Martin Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dean Shelly conducted the 11 a.m. services. Burial was in the Lansing Ridge Cemetery. Casket bearers were Richard Fruechte, Ernest Fruechte, Harold Kerndt, Delbert Bulman, Walter Martin, and Norbert Schulte.

Howard Stanley Beardmore, son of William and Odelia (Moller) Beardmore, was born September 27, 1911 in Union City Township, rural Dorchester, Iowa. He attended rural Dorchester area schools. On August 5 * the year was not given *, he married Helen M. Fritz at Churchtown, Iowa in Allamakee County. He was self-employed and had lived in rural Lansing, Iowa before moving to Waukon, Iowa in 1988. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

Howard Stanley Beardmore died Saturday, July 21, 1990 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Gary Crane, and 3 sisters, Ruby Senn, Edna DuBay, and Cecile Goodell.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a daughter, Marian (James) Crane of Great Falls, Montana; 2 sons, Dale Beardmore of Mesquite, Texas, and Terry Beardmore of rural Lansing, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian (Herman) Arneson of Fountain City, Wisconsin and 2 brothers, Calvin Beardmore of Dorchester, Iowa and Melvin Beardmore of Caledonia, Minnesota.
